Inspector comments: EHS inspector observed facility no longer mobile in concept. Facility wheels locked for both axles. Trailer hitch has lock also. Power from the gas station has been hung and routed overhead to the top of the mobile food unit in a fashion that is not readily Removable thus not making it mobile. Electric hook up functionally permanent. Translator for PIC Sammy of tacos don Sammy was present during the inspection with a van that appears to be a catering van he uses to pull the trailer. When asked why the axles were locked, power was permanent, and the trailer hitch was locked. He stated that the PIC closes down the unit and leaves during part of the afternoon and then comes back. ES instructed Sammy that this is not permissible because the food may not be left on site. To be in compliance with the rules the food can only be transported via the mobile food unit itself. Observations today appear very clear facility or mobile food unit is stationary and not going to its Commissary every day that it operates , this inspection will be forwarded to Danielle Lewis of Hi the mobile food unit team to determine if an intent to suspend the permit is warranted.
