A plain ring, such as a wedding band, is allowed. 2-402.11 Use head coverings, beard guards and clothing to restrain body hair from contacting exposed food, equipment, and utensils. Observed several volunteers preparing items while wearing jewelry and no hair restraints.

4-903.11(C ) Single Service and Single Use items shall be kept in the original protective package or stored using other means that protect the item until used. Observed open-faced trays for nachos. CDI - Trays were inverted

2-401.11 (A). Employee beverages must be stored in a designated area where contamination of food, clean equipment, utensils, linens, and single-use articles cannot occur. Observed an employee drink cup stored on a shelf above a prep surface.

2-301.15 Only wash hands in handwashing sink. -Pf Observed an employee washing hands in the 2-compartment sink. CDI - Employee was educated and the left side hand sink will be the only one used from now on.

3-501.16(A)(1) Maintain TCS foods in hot holding at 135F or above. -P Observed 96-99 degree pizza in individual boxes that were prepared by staff. CDI - Employee stated that the pizza was 135 degrees or higher at 4:30 when slices were boxed up. EHS placed pizza on 4-hour TPHC. Policy was provided that will be used for pizza and hot dogs.
