REPEAT 15A NCAC 18A .1824(b) Equipment and utensils shall be kept clean and in good repair.- Observed soiled ice machine in the chute 3rd floor. Observed soiled/stained/rusting microwave in 325, 307, 236. Observed minor debris in refrigerator 307. Cleaning/replacing equipment needed.

General Comment: 15A NCAC 18A .1826 (h) Furnishings, bathroom fixtures, carpets, and other accessories in guest rooms, shall be kept clean and in good repair.- Observed missing AC filter in 307, 1st and 2nd floors hallway. Filters need cleaning in 3rd floor hallway. Keep AC units clean and in good repair.

General Comment: 15A NCAC 18A .1828 (e ) Carts used for soiled laundry shall be labeled or identified for soiled laundry use only.- Observed yellow cart use in laundry room for soiled linens without labeling. Ensure to label all carts appropriately (clean or dirty linens).

General Comment: 5-502.11 Refuse, recyclables and returnables shall be removed from the premises at a frequency that will minimize the development of objectionable odors and other conditions that attract or harbor insects and rodents.- Observed piles of pallets behind and in dumpster area. Items shall be removed to prevent pest harboring.

REPEAT 15A NCAC 18A .1827(g) A storage area shall be provided for building and ground maintenance tools and supplies and stored in a manner to aoid contamination of food and food contact surfaces, linen, and single-use articles.- Observed supplies (pillow, linen, comforter, paper towel, tissue) boxes stored directly on the floor in closet 3rd/2nd floors and laundry room closet. Keep/store all supplies off the floor at least 6 inches.

15A NCAC 18A .1824(b) Equipment and utensils shall be kept clean and in good repair.- Observed soiled ice machine chute 3rd floor. Need cleaning and keep clean. Observed burning/rusting mark on microwave in 334. Need repair/replace.

5-205.11 A handwashing sink shall be accessible and only used for handwashing. -Pf. Observed hand washing sink in laundry room was blocked by carts. CDI- Carts were removed out of the way at the time of inspection. Ensure to always provide access to hand washing sinks at all time. 15A NCAC 18A .1826(a) Handwashing sinks as required in Rule .1825 in this section shall be supplied with hand soap, and either individual, disposable towels; a continuous towel system that supplies the user with a clean towel; a heated-air hand drying device; or a hand drying device that employs an air-knife system that delivers high velocity, pressurized air at ambient temperatures.- Observed hand washing sink in laundry room without soap and paper towels. Ensure to provide all hand washing supplies at all hand sinks at all time.

REPEAT 15A NCAC 18A .1826 (h) Furnishings, bathroom fixtures, carpets, and other accessories in guest rooms, shall be kept clean and in good repair.- Observed soiled mattress cover, and black lining on sofa bed in 218, damage cabinet door where refrigerator is in 229, 334. Stain seat on the roller office chair in 331. Missing AC filter at the end hall unit 2rd and 1st floor. Clean/repair/ or replace needed.

5-501.114 Drains in receptacles and waste handling units for refuse, recyclables, and returnables shall have drain plugs in place.- Observed dumpster is missing a drain plug. Obtain a plug and keep in place. 5-501.15 Maintain refuse, recyclables, and returnables receptacles with tight-fitting lids, doors, or covers.- Observed dumpster door left opened when not in use. Keep the door close.
