15A NCAC 18A .1826(a) Handwashing sinks as required in Rule .1825 in this section shall be supplied with hand soap, and either individual, disposable towels; a continuous towel system that supplies the user with a clean towel; a heated-air hand drying device; or a hand drying device that employs an air-knife system that delivers high velocity, pressurized air at ambient temperatures. Observed employee only restroom without hand soap. Repeat. (-1)

15A NCAC 18A .1826 (h) Furnishings, bathroom fixtures, carpets, and other accessories in guest rooms, shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed mounted cabinet above mini-kitchen in room 304 bearing weight on microwave below it. Repair cabinet so it is properly secured. Repeat. No escalation of points due to improvement on items noted during previous inspection. (-0)

15A NCAC 18A .1826 (f) Physical facilities shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed non food contact surface of ice machine on second floor with pink buildup. Repeat. No escalation of points due to improvement from previous inspection.

15A NCAC 18A .1828 (a) Clean bed and bath linen, in good repair, should be provided for each guest. Observed sheets with shoeprint and hairs in room 230, and hair on the bed linens in room 105. (-2)

5-501.113 (B) Maintain tight fitting lids or doors on outside receptacles. Observed dumpster with missing doors and many bags of garbage piling up around the outside parameters. Bring dumpster into good repair so premises can be maintained properly. (-0)

Observed facility laundry handsink without hand drying tools.

15A NCAC 18A .1826 (h) Furnishings, bathroom fixtures, carpets, and other accessories in guest rooms, shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed staining on sofa and bedding in room 103 and pullout bed in 303. Observed rip in ironing board in room 327. 15A NCAC 18A .1826 (c) Sinks, vanities, toilets, and showers in guest rooms shall be cleaned and sanitized between guests. Observed carts on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floor with no sanitizing solution available.

15A NCAC 18A .1826 (f) Physical facilities shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed pink buildup and missing caulking in shower in rooms 205, 219, 405, and 421. PIC stated there is a work order in to repair caulking in showers. Observed dust buildup on AC filters in rooms 103,205, 219, 303, and 405. Observed non food contact surface of ice machine with buildup on 2nd and 3rd floor near elevators.

15A NCAC 18A .1827( c) Household cleaning agents such as bleaches, detergents, and polishes shall be used and stored according to manufacturer's recommendations. Observed fabric refresher in disinfectant bottle mislabeled. Observed cleaning solution in mislabeled spic and span bottle. Do not put chemicals in containers with improper labels or that have been used previously with another chemical.

15A NCAC 18A .1824 (b) Equipment and utensils shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed residue on ice bucket lid in room 226. CDI-lid removed and given to housekeeping staff to clean properly.

Observed ceiling damaged above shower in room 317. Observed dust build up on AC filters in rooms 108,110, 226, and 317.

15A NCAC 18A .1824(e ) Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be clean. Observed one coffee maker and one microwave with minor debris. Keep all areas clean.

15A NCAC 18A .1828 (e ) Soiled laundry shall be handled and stored separately from clean laundry using separate, cleanable carts or bags. Observed rolling carts on floors used as both clean and dirty (with garbage bag). Cannot interchange even with garbage bag. Label as clean and dirty.

15A NCAC 18A .1825( e) All refuse shall be collected and stored in covered receptacles. Refuse receptacles shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed trash and debris strew about dumpster corral. Keep area clean. Dumpster is shared but still needs to be clean.
