15A NCAC 18A .1826(a) Handwashing sinks as required in Rule .1825 in this section shall be supplied with hand soap, and either individual, disposable towels; a continuous towel system that supplies the user with a clean towel; a heated-air hand drying device; or a hand drying device that employs an air-knife system that delivers high velocity, pressurized air at ambient temperatures. Observed no soap or paper towels/hand drying device at laundry room handwashing sink. Needs soap and paper towels.

15A NCAC 18A .1826 (h) Furnishings, bathroom fixtures, carpets, and other accessories in guest rooms, shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed shower peeling, A/C filters missing, and bench upholstery peeling in room 205. REPEAT.

15A NCAC 18A .1826 (f) Physical facilities shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed wall damage behind door in rooms 205. Needs repair.

15A NCAC 18A .1828 (a) Clean bed and bath linen, in good repair, should be provided for each guest. Observed stains/burn on sheets pillow covers in rooms 205 and 411. Needs cleaning. REPEAT.

15A NCAC 18A .1824(b) Equipment and utensils shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed build up in refrigerator in room 104. Needs cleaning.

15A NCAC 18A .1826 (c) Sinks, vanities, toilets, and showers in guest rooms shall be cleaned and sanitized between guests. EHS observed no sanitizer being used to clean guest rooms. 15A NCAC 18A .1826 (h) Furnishings, bathroom fixtures, carpets, and other accessories in guest rooms, shall be kept clean and in good repair. EHS observed stain on mattress, stains on chair, debris on vanity shelving, damage to side of toilet seat, broken vent on A/C unit, build up in shower/tub, and shower curtain missing in 104. Needs cleaning/repair. REPEAT.

15A NCAC 18A .1828 (a) Clean bed and bath linen, in good repair, should be provided for each guest. Observed burn holes on pillow cases and stains on pillow and mattress pad in 104. Needs cleaning/repair. REPEAT.

15A NCAC 18A .1826 (h) Furnishings, bathroom fixtures, carpets, and other accessories in guest rooms, shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed bottom of tv stands in disrepair in rooms 103,105, and 110. Observed large gap between wall and AC unit in room 103. AC unit with damage to front plate in room 110. Observed bathtub caulking in need of cleaning and repair in rooms 103, 120, and 127. Observed holes in curtains in rooms 105, 123, and 130. Observed frayed carpet in room 130. Observed broken mirror in room 105.

15A NCAC 18A .1826 (g) Perimeter walls and roofs shall protect the lodging establishment from the weather, and the entry of insects, rodents, and other pests. Observed holes in building siding and holes in plastic surrounding door frames in all buildings. 15A NCAC 18A .1826 (f) Physical facilities shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed chipped paint in rooms 103, 105, 110, 120, 123, 127, 128, and 130. Observed holes in walls in rooms 105, 123, and 130 around shower head and faucet and in main living area. Observed cracked tiles and missing baseboards in rooms 103 and 127. Observed broken window in room 128.

5-502.11 Refuse, recyclables and returnables shall be removed from the premises at a frequency that will minimize the development of objectionable odors and other conditions that attract or harbor insects and rodents. Observed multiple mattresses waiting to be discarded outside of laundry facilities. Remove from premises to prevent harborage.

15A NCAC 18A .1827(a) The premises shall be kept free of litter and items unnecessary to the operation or maintenance of the lodging establishment, such as equipment that is nonfunctional or no longer used. Observed nonfunctional equipment and other items outside of laundry room.
