Drinking fountains shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2406 (b). Observed black build up inside of drinking fountain nozzles by classroom 114 in 100 building. Clean. -General comment.

Fixtures shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2409 (b). Observed 1 handsink continually running in boys restroom near culinary classroom. Per custodian, a work order has been submitted to have issue repaired. -General comment.

EHS advises school to ensure no active leak is occurring and to have stained ceiling tiles replaced.

Observed ceiling tiles missing and some with minor staining in boys locker room and in gym, (per head custodian a work order has been submitted to have issue repaired). Observed some floor tiles damaged in boys 500 restroom. Repair. Observed corner of ceiling in need of repair in girl upstairs restroom in building 600.

Observed supplies/equipment stored in shower stalls in both girls and boys locker rooms. Remove. All fixtures shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2413 (d). Drinking fountains shall be provided with adequate water pressure and be properly regulated (i.e. water pressure should be regulated so that an individual’s mouth does not come in contact with the nozzle and so that the water does not splash on the floor). 15A NCAC 18A 2406 (b). Observed water pressure low at several water fountains throughout school building to include, 600 building and 200 building. EHS advises school to increase water fountain pressure where needed throughout school.

Observed debris on ceiling over toilets in boys PE locker room. EHS advises school to ensure no active leak are occurring and to replace stained ceiling tile where needed throughout school building.
